We sat down with Jeff to get to know him a little better and laughed the entire time. Here are some highlights from our interview, we think he's great and we're sure you will agree.
Responsibilities
Jeff oversees the worship for five services on Sunday including: the choir, musicians, tech team, visual arts and communications.
Career Highlights
- Joined the Northwest team in 2005 after playing at Candlelight services.
- Owned and operated a school of music for 17 years, teaching guitar, bass, piano, vocal, and band instruments.
- Worked at a local advertising agency in a variety of roles, like creative director, copywriter and art director.
- Graduated from CSU Fresno in Mass Communication and Journalism.
Family Life
Married in 1999 to Stacy and has two great kids. The house is always noisy with music and laughter.
Random stuff
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Very casual, easy to get along with, definitely looking for the humor in every situation. No matter what, something is funny.
Q: What do you like to do for fun - outside of church?
A: Play music, and occasionally shoot guys in video games (but only the bad guys).
Q: If you were a super hero, who would you be and why?
A: Superman because I look good in tights - but don't ask my wife.
Q: What kind of music do you like?
A: Everything but country, mainly rock, I'm a groove junky - that means I am intently focused on the beat, the rhythm, the music.
Q: Who in the Bible do you relate to and why?
A: David, because he was messed up and still found time to sing to the LORD.
Q: Any shout outs?
A: All you kids, stay in school and go find an instrument to play. It's never too late.
Q: What's your favorite TV show?
A: My kids would say "Sports Center"
Q: Favorite color?
A: Blue, it goes better with my eyes (they are brown...in the right lighting with some photoshop work).
Q: Coast, city, or mountains?
A: Coastal mountain range near the city.
Q: Favorite scripture?
A: "As for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more" Psalm 71:14.
