A: I love southern gospel music. I'm the Vice President of the Central California Southern Gospel Music Associations.

Q: What would surprise people to know about you?

A: That I speak The DA KINE, which is Pigeon English. They speak Dakine in Hawaii where I pastored a small church for years. I was also a drill sergeant in the Corps and on the USMC rodeo team.

A: Billy Graham. I respect him to no end and I know I would learn a whole lot from him.

Q: Who in the Bible do you relate to?

A: I relate to Paul because he was not a nice guy before he encountered Jesus. I did not come to the Lord until I was 29 years old and I was a tough guy who really needed God to change me.

Q: When did you become a Christian?

A: My mom got saved 3 days before she died and at her funeral the pastor told me that if I wanted to see her again that I must to be saved. My mother was an important person in my world. I loved her so much that I couldn't stand the thought of not seeing her again. So I gave my heart to Jesus in 1964 and my life began to change.

A: I knew I would grow up to be a Marine because I was a child during World War II. I am a combat veteran of both Vietnam and Korea.
