Northwest Church Conduct Covenant October 23, 2008
As ministers of the gospel and as staff of Northwest Church we should always endeavor to maintain the highest levels of conduct and accountability. I recognize the Biblical principle that Christian leaders are held to a higher standard of conduct and are judged by God more strictly (James 3:1). I understand that I may be dismissed or asked to resign if my conduct violates these guidelines. Any deviation from these guidelines must be done in accordance with Christian goals and principles.
For Married Staff 1. Whenever possible, do not go to meals alone with the opposite sex other than your spouse. 2. Whenever possible, do not drive or be driven to places by the opposite sex other than your spouse. 3. Do not kiss or show affection to anyone of the opposite sex that could be considered questionable. 4. Do not visit the opposite sex alone.
For All Staff 5. Do not counsel the opposite sex or minors alone. 6. Whenever possible, do not counsel the opposite sex more than once without their spouse. Refer them to a counselor. 7.
