high school
when & where
Sunday mornings @ 9:30 & Tuesday evening from 7-8:45pm in room G201.
Our time together is filled with great videos, rockin worship and relevant messages on real life topics that help you be more like Jesus.
can we be real?
You know how hard it can be to figure out what's right and wrong in a world where the media dictates who we "should be". Materialism, sex, drugs and people with attitudes are every where. Do you get sick of it? Do you want to live differently? Come check out the high school ministry at Northwest - you'll discover some really cool people who love God and His word (the Bible). You see, we've figured out that the best way to manage the ups and downs of your teenage years is by being connected with people who care. We have a lot of fun with students from high schools all over the area. You might even recognize some people.
here's what you can expect
Each of our gatherings follow the same basic format. We find this strategy a great way to combine crazy fun with music and learning about God.
- icebreaker - random stuff because we like to have fun!
- live worship - our worship team rocks! That's a fact.
- the message - taught by the passionate and energetic Pastor Dan Chengrian, the message is always practical and gets you thinking.
- small groups - After the message, we break up into small groups to hang out and talk more about it. Its a great way to get to know people better too.
our leaders
We have some great men and women who really connect with high school students at Northwest. You can tell your parents that they are all finger printed and background checked before they become a part of our ministry. No creepy people here, thank you very much. Our leaders are here to support you and encourage you in your faith but they are not here to replace your parents.
surprising!
One thing that surprises people about the high school group is how many students actually come to church because they want to, not because their parents make them. It's awesome to watch students uncover the truth about God and how He can transforms lives.
