Addams Elementary School Northwest Church is partnering with Addams Elementary School in several ways. Saturday Sports - Join with Studio 56 from Northwest Church to interact with kids from 9:00am - 11:00am for 12 Saturdays in the Fall or 12 Saturdays in the Spring. Classroom Volunteer - Teachers at Addams do not have aides and parent participation does not meet the needs there. You pick the grade, the day, and the time. CARE Fresno Northwest Church is partnering with CARE Fresno to offer after school tutoring and assistance in a structured environment in a neighborhood targeted by Mayor Ashley Swearingen. We are looking for people who want to help kids with homework, sports, reading, games. The time frame will be after school and you can choose what day works best for you Monday through Thursday. A mobile home park near Addams Elementary on McKinley Ave. is letting us use their large recreation room with existing tables, chairs, etc. Materials such as games and tutoring supplies will be available. World Impact Children's Bible Club meets on Monday afternoons in the Hidalgo neighborhood (4th and Belmont), and in other communities and times during the summer. Summer Staff - In addition to neighborhood Bible clubs, and teen swim outreaches, we take inner-city children, teens, and families to camp at The Oaks, World Impact’s conference center at Lake Hughes, just north of Los Angeles. College students with a heart to serve in the city can apply for summer staff. This is great hands-on experience for those who want to explore urban ministry.
