Northwest Church is a place that recognizes and appreciates good music. The "Spirit" Choir is a major part of this great church and a wonderful family filled with people who have a wide range of musical skills. We are committed to quality and high standards in our music and our lives. We are continually seeking to let the words of Christ dwell in us as we love, teach, pray and grow together.

How often do we sing?

"Spirit" Choir leads worship thru music in the 8:00am & 9:30 Sunday services in our newly remodeled Worship Center. We sing three Sundays a month, on a semester basis. Fall Semester begins with an overnight Choir Retreat (the weekend after Labor Day) and ends in January. Spring Semester begins in February and ends in June. Fall semester includes Candlelight, our Christmas celebration. Spring semester includes Easter services.

What about special seasonal events?

Candlelight, our Christmas celebration, is held in mid-December. Those singing in Fall semester of "Spirit" Choir are joined by alums from previous years. Easter weekend is a celebration that, involving those singing in Spring semester "Spirit" Choir and choir alums.

When are rehearsals?

"Spirit" Choir rehearses every Tuesday night, from 7:00pm - 9:00pm, in the Chapel Music Room. Additional rehearsals are scheduled for special events, such as our Christmas & Easter musicals.

Interested in becoming part of "Spirit" Choir?

We look forward to adding new members at the beginning of each semester, in August and in January. No previous choir experience is necessary. Through an informal interview with our Music Pastor, Randy Hyatt, you will have your questions answered, Randy will get to know you better, tell you what you can expect as a member of the choir, and will listen to your voice. "Spirit" Choir is open to anyone high school age and older. Attendance is crucial. IInterviews for "Spirit" Choir's Fall 2009 semester will be in August.
