Dominic Raffa – Pastor

“In our High School Ministry at Northwest Church, we want to prepare our students for life after High School. We believe one of the best ways to do that is encouraging students to figure out their faith for themselves. Our students live in an age where they have influences coming from every direction. We hope that our students would find the answers to those questions from the Bible. Our desire is for our students to begin to come to their own conclusions about faith and life.

Part of that process is making mistakes. We want our students to know that church is the best place to be open and honest about our mistakes. Our students have said that they feel like our youth group is a family, and that’s exactly what we want. A place where students feel comfortable, safe, and encouraged to explore faith and life. If High School students can learn to think for themselves, they will better equipped for life after high school.

We hope that you will find this is a great place for you student to grow and connect. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you so much for checking out Northwest High School Student Ministry.”

Wednesday Evenings | 6:30 PM | Student Ministry Building

Our Wednesday night service is the best opportunity for your student to connect with our High School group.

We start out the evening with a high energy game to get everyone comfortable and ready for the rest of the evening. We have a time of student lead worship followed by an engaging message designed to meet students where they are at. We want to know and follow Jesus and understand that He and His teachings are relevant for their day to day lives.

After the message we break into small groups. The groups are separated by gender and grade and lead by our student ministry leadership team. Small groups are a time to build community and share what is going on in each others lives. Students have the opportunity form bonds with other students and mentors. We hope that your student will develop a faith of their own that can guide them through school and into adulthood.

Sunday Mornings

On Sunday mornings we will have hangout times before the 9:30 and 11 o’clock services with donuts and cereal in the Student Ministry lobby. We will head over as a group to the service in the Live & Loud building. We encourage students to get plugged in with the main church services through serving opportunities and offer them the same discipleship classes that we have for adults. We are excited to see how this interaction with main services on Sundays will lead to growth in their lives, their families, and growth in our church.
